We just finished our “dog days of summer” theme, and what better transition to our new theme — phrases coined by William Shakespeare — than “let slip the dogs of war”? This phrase is spoken by Mark Antony in Act III, Scene I of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar.” Caesar’s death (spoiler alert!) is seen as a bad omen for the future of Rome.
