About this Raddle

I never got to see Low live, so I was stoked to be able to catch Alan Sparhawk at Big Ears, who played the closing set with Trampled by Turtles, a bluegrass band also from Duluth, with whom he put out a 2025 album. He opened by talking about hope and light, and enjoined us to reflect on the weekend and all the new people we'd met and new music we'd heard. It was a powerful way to end the festival.

Theme: Big Ears 2026

My family and I recently returned from our favorite weekend of the year, the Big Ears music festival in Knoxville, TN. I saw over 30 acts this year. This week's Raddles feature some of my favorites.
